Pretty and Witty and Bright

1

There is something about a hot coral dress that can make even the gloomiest day seem brighter. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for a gloomy day once in a while. In fact, as I type this, it’s cool and breezy and very cloudy here in the DMV; it’s a welcome change from the unrelenting heat of last week.

I wore this to work, but the more I look at this dress, the more I feel like it would be awesome to wear to a summer wedding. In fact, I almost wore this to one we went to last month, but I opted for a green wrap dress instead.

It’s a (flowery) Wrap!

1

Last week I picked out all the outfits I was going to wear this week and I inevitably changed my mind every morning while I was getting dressed. Apparently in the wee hours of the morning I forgot that I just wore a floral dress yesterday (Monday’s post) and I wore another one today. The bad news is: I am still terrible at accessorizing. The good news is: I have more than one floral dress. And this one is ridiculously comfortable and breathable.

Business Casual MUST HAVE: The Wrap Dress

1

Thank you, Diane von Fürstenberg, for inventing popularizing the wrap dress. I freaking LOVE them. I have several faux-wrap dresses, like this one, and I just got my first real wrap dress (which will be debuted here soon!). If you have a job that requires you to wear business casual attire and you don’t already have one (or more!) you NEED to get yourself a wrap dress. They’re effortless, comfortable, universally flattering, and definitely appropriate for the office. What do you think? Do you share my affinity for wrap dresses?
